Best Of Buddies?

With the NZ election taking place on the 7th of November, in Whangarei the two main contenders are Lloyd Budd from National and Dr Gary Payinda from Labour. National has opted for a wealthy real estate man (ex Auckland) and Labour has chosen a local ED doctor working at the Whangarei base hospital - owned by the Government. Whangarei has a tradition of voting in a National candidate but this year it looks likely to go to Labour due to Payinda's exceptional personal qualities and commitment to stop the deteriation of NZ's health system.
