The Red Queen Strikes
Labour's new leader, Jacinda Ardern, has caught up to National's leader John English in a recent preferred New Zealand Prime Minister poll and has very likely overtaken him by now. Like Canada, there seems to be a generational shift taking place in NZ politics. Peter Dunne has seen the writing on the wall and after 30 plus years in Parliament (often as a Minister), he has retired.

Weasel Words And Bear Essentials
Harry Hack is back in action investigating the policies of the two front runners in the election this year in Whangarei NZ - Shane Reti (National) and Shane Jones (NZ First). Shane Reti is fan of the $16 million Hundertwasser inspired Art Gallery and secured sufficient millions of dollars of Government money to get it over the shortfall in funding. Shane Jones on the other hand likes the idea of putting a rail link to Marsden Point where there is a deep water port.
